Joana Adesuwa Reiterer

Joana, 28, is a Nigerian author and human rights activist. She is the first winner of the Austria Liga for human rights Award 2009. in 2006, she co-founded NGO EXIT – against human trafficking. In addition Joana chairs a diverse array of events in Austria with the aim of raising awareness on violence against women. In 2007, together with two Austrian journalists, she researched the traffic in women from Africa to Europe. Their findings where published in the book – Ware Frau. In 2008, she released her autobiography titled Die Wassergöttin and acted for the UN role-play on human trafficking together with, Academy Award Winner, Emma Thompson. At the moment, she is working on a new short film, touring bookstores presenting her book and continuing her campaign against human trafficking and against the torture of sorcery accused persons in Africa.

Michael Sokolar

Director, Co-Producer, Screenplay
After his bachelor study of “Software and Information Engineering” at the Technical University Vienna he worked as web-programmer but soon realized his dedication to filmmaking. In 2005, during his studies at the Viennese university, he directed his first short movies. Since 2006 he decided to focus on movie production and worked a few years for commercial film productions. Additionally he works as internal assistant for the directors Dirk Meints & Toni Weiss and gains hands on experience in commercial productions as well as story- and feature film development.
